Born Pretty Store Review: Glow In The Dark Nail Stickers

Hey y'all, hope all's been well (: For today's post, I have a Born Pretty Store review for you guys. Something a little different to what I usually review, as I normally do all the nail art by hand or add bits and bobs to accentuate it, but this time around, I'm trying these Luminous Glow In The Dark Nail Stickers.

You get 14 sticker pieces, so you can find the closest fit to your nail bed, and also comes in two different patterns. The pack comes with easy to follow instructions on the back, and are a breeze to apply. The only hurdle I had to overcome was the fact that my nail shape isn't square so I did have to adjust where and how I put the design on my nails so that I could show off the entire pattern.

As you can see in this photo, with the pinky and index finger, if I were to match the end of the nail sticker to my cuticle line, most of the palm tree would have been cut off, so instead I shifted the design up and over my cuticles, and went around the sticker with nail scissors to reshape it around the cuticle (I really hope that makes sense!). I then folded the ends over my nails and filed off the excess (:

These are semi-transparent so you could possibly have a base colour on first to slightly change the outcome of the mani. They're also incredibly convenient, as you don't have to wait for your nails to dry before you could continue on with your day (or night, in my case :P). I wore these for 3 days, and were actually pretty durable, though, without top coating it and wrapping the edges, I was very tempted to pick and lift off the sticker many times! So in case you wanted them to last a little longer, be sure to top coat and wrap your nails afterwards :D

Something that surprised me about these stickers also, is that they're glow in the dark! I was oblivious until I came to sit down to write the review and read the item description again, and it said "glow in the dark". So I switched the lights off and whipped out the camera again to take more photos. To my disappointment, my nails didn't glow! I thought I was duped! haha But then I "charged" my nails by sticking them under my torch for a few seconds and tried again... et voila, they glowed - a bright green, with palm tree shadows :D

Unfortunately, this was the best picture I could get in the dark, but you get the gist of it right?! So if you are interested in taking a peek at the Born Pretty Store for these glow in the dark nail stickers or any other nail art bits and bobs they sell, don't forget to use XFSQ10 at checkout to get 10% off your whole order (:

*The item/s mentioned in this post were sent to me for my 100% honest review. This in no way affects my opinion of them. For more information, please read the Contact and Policy page of the blog*

  2. The shape of your nails accentuates the design of the stickers amazingly! I have seen them around and have tried them myself but I haven't seen them look as good as they do on your nails.

    1. In the graphic on the site there were no sparkles, so it was a nice surprise to see it when I received it! Also yes! Taking pictures of anything glow in the dark is a major mission and a half... and I'm way too lazy to perfect it :p hahaha

  5. These look amazing! The only time we've ever tried wraps it was a massive fail but might have to try again with these as they are so pretty - even without the glow in the dark. E&J.xx
