Swatches: Aussie Indie Moonstone Nail Polish

Helloooo and a (hopefully) Happy Monday to you all! Today's post is somewhat of a PSA - you all remember the Aussie Indie Moonstone Nail Polish I showed you in October of last year, well Caitlin has now released a new collection which goes live TODAY at 7pm (AEDST)! It is the Magic Treats Collection, and draws inspiration from the lollies found in Honeydukes, the magical sweets shop from the fantastical realm of Harry Potter. And so to celebrate, and maybe tempt you a little, I've got swatches for 3 of the 6 polishes to be released.

First up is Levitating Sherbert Balls, inspired by the sour Fizzing Whizbeez! It's quite a busy polish, bursting with star shaped glitter, pastel yellow dots, pink, white, yellow, and iridescent hexes, as well as a pink/ gold shifting shimmer - this was the first to catch my eye when I opened up the blogger pack, which was unusual because I'm not usually attracted to shape glitter, or shimmer polish. Though after swatching it, I actually quite liked the look of it. This is one dabbed coat over Ulta 3 Citrus.

Next up is another of the glitter toppers in the collection (there's a total of 3) Licorice Wand, which is inspired of course, by the magical sweet resembling a wand. From the shop, Caitlin describes it as:

"This is packed with silver holographic stars, black squares, an assortment of silver, gunmetal, and holo black hex, with a silver shimmer dust throughout."

This is Licorice Wand, one dabbed coat (with placing for the stars) over another Moonstone Nail Polish Dark Shines.

Though, after this first initial swatch, I realized there's so much going on, it was a little hard to decipher what was in there. So I swatched it once more, but this time over a neon creme Tony Moly P004. This brought out all the glitter, and I much prefer this combo (though I may be bias since I do love my neons :P).

The last polish swatch I have to share with you all is Bluebell Bubblegum, which, just like its Honeydukes bubblegum counterpart, is a sea of blue crelly filled with large silver and blue dots, as well a smaller blue and iridescent dot and hex glitters. This is 3 coats on its own.

And that brings us to the end of that photo reel. I had so much fun swatching these, made even more special 'cos I'm a major potterhead (hands up if you are too!) :D And so if you are interested in these polishes, and perhaps keen to take a peek at the other 3 in the collection, do visit the Moonstone Nail Polish Store, or peruse their facebook page or instagram (@moonstonenailpolish).

P.S. As an added extra, here's Dark Shines on its own :P

*The item/s mentioned in this post were sent to me for my 100% honest review/ swatch. This in no way affects my opinion of them. For more information, please read the Contact and Policy page of the blog*
